Children's centres

Every family with children up to the age of five, and parents-to-be, can take part in activities, meet people and make friends at the county's 37 children's centres. Each centre has a base but also works at venues across the local area.

Activities and services may include:

  • Early education and childcare for children, including play sessions;
  • Advice, support and learning opportunities for parents and carers;
  • Child and family health services, such as antenatal classes; and
  • Links with Jobcentre Plus.
