Contracted bus service consultation (Service 53, 84 and DR12)

The Council regularly reviews the transport services we subsidise to ensure that they represent value for money and fit with our current policies. We are now proposing to withdraw subsidy from some of these services.

Service 53 (RAF Leeming - Leeming Bar)

We currently subsidise service 53 (RAF Leeming - Leeming Bar) and have identified that in terms of cost and usage it no longer represents value for money. We are proposing to withdraw the subsidy for this service and it is likely that the service will
no longer be provided.

We are working with community transport providers to meet local demand for access to essential services.

Before taking a final decision we are consulting with stakeholders and users. All information submitted as part of this consultation will be considered by the Corporate Director at his meeting with Executive Members on 30th January 2015.
