Harrogate parking management review

A 10 week consultation was undertaken between the 9 July and 18 September 2015 on proposals for Sunday and evening charges.

In response to issues raised during the consultation revised proposals were presented to the County Area Committee for the Harrogate district on the 19 November 2015 seeking their views on:

  • Introducing Sunday parking charges between 10:00 - 18:00
  • Extending Monday to Saturday daytime parking charges until 19:00

The papers and minutes from this meeting can be viewed here.

In February 2016 the County Council announced that it was postponing a decision on the introduction of these proposals pending a further joint review of on and off street parking provision in conjunction with Harrogate Borough Council.

Next steps

The first stage of this review, which has involved further analysis of parking patterns, is now complete. In light of this further analysis a decision on the proposals will now be taken by the Executive on 16 August 2016.

New evidence
