DIY products

DIY products can be accepted, free of charge, at all of our household waste recycling centres.

The following are examples of DIY products that can be disposed of in the waste for energy recovery container:

  • bitumen
  • photographic chemicals
  • silicone sealant
  • water sealant
  • water proofer
  • wood filler
  • wood preservative

If you have no use for these items, please pass them on to someone who can use them.

Tins, bottles and sprays must be firmly secured to prevent leakage.

DIY chemicals from a business or charity must be disposed of through a private licensed contractor.
