If you are worried about crime and anti-social behaviour affecting your business, you may want to join Harrogate District Businesses Against Crime (HDBAC).
HDBAC is a not-for-profit crime reduction partnership with members from retail, licensed premises, transport and other business groups. Members work together to:
The partnership works alongside the Council, North Yorkshire Police, Yorkshire and Humberside Partners Against Crime and the National Association of Business Crime Partnerships.
There are a number of benefits for your business when you join HDBAC as outlined below.
All members are issued with the latest digital hand held radio which is linked to the CCTV control room, the Police and all other Radiolink members.
Members will receive a fast response from the Council’s trained camera operators to record CCTV evidence and contact the emergency services when criminal activity take places.
The CCTV Radiolink has a proven track record in preventing crime and in prosecuting offenders.
You will have access to the services of the Radiolink Coordinator who is there to help you get the maximum benefit from your membership.
You can attend monthly crime information sharing meetings to discuss the latest criminal activities, offenders and their methods to help you reduce crime occurring in your premises. You will also receive photo target packs of key offenders.
You will have the support of your fellow members to ban persistent offenders from entering your premises.
There is an annual subscription, which is tax deductible, to join HBAC.

Membership of the partnership may reduce your insurance premiums and you may recover the cost of membership through reduced stock loss.
