North Yorkshire Care Champions

North Yorkshire Care Champions is where care experienced young people, up to the age of 25, come together to improve the care services we offer.

Are you under 25 with experience of care? Do you have ideas about how to make things better for young people in care or care leavers? Do you want to work with other young people and the council to help us improve how we do things?

NY Care Champions gives you the chance to meet likeminded young people and take part in exciting monthly social activities and events. We support you to get your voice heard!

We have 3 groups across North Yorkshire, who meet regularly, both in person and online, in Scarborough and Ryedale, Harrogate and Craven plus Richmondshire, Hambleton and Selby. Our Care Champions meet regularly with our senior leaders to make sure young people’s voices are acted on and given the importance they deserve.

To join your local group or learn more about what we do, please get in touch by emailing nyvoice@northyorks.gov.uk
