Civil emergencies - floodingNorth Yorkshire County Council is the lead local flood authority, and in partnership with other flood risk management authorities we are working hard to manage and reduce the flood risks faced by our communities.
In this section, you will find information and guidance on how we are working with our partners, who does what, and how you can help to protect your property and your family from the risk of flooding.
Resources are used in those areas most at need, so you must be aware that although you may be at risk, it is better to prepare for the possibility that help may not get to you soon. The search field below allows you to check your local area for any flood warnings currently in force, and displays a map showing those areas at risk if flooding does occur.
