Council garages in the Selby area

Find information about garages in the Selby area including where they are and how to apply to rent them.

All garages are for vehicles only and are let on a first-come, first-served basis, Council tenants have an initial priority on the waiting list, however you must have a clear rent account before your application will be accepted and added to our waiting list.

Applying for a garage

If you would like to be considered for a garage, please complete our application form. 

Council garage rent

The weekly rent for council garages are:

  • £10.28 for council tenants
  • £12.34 for non-council tenants

Paying your garage rent

You can contact us to pay your garage rent over the phone. 

Or you can pay by Direct Debit. Contact us for a form to set up a Direct Debit.

Ending your garage tenancy

To end your garage tenancy, you need to fill in a garage termination form. Contact us for a form.

You must give at least one week’s notice in writing and all garage keys must be returned to us before noon the next day.

Before you return the garage keys, make sure you have:

  • removed all personal belongings 
  • cleared any rubbish 
  • restored the garage back to its original condition - this includes repairing anything broken and removed any unauthorised DIY
