Farnham Quarry

North Yorkshire County Council is to hold discussions with Tarmac Ltd about the future of Farnham Quarry near Knaresborough, following the company's decision to end its operations on the site. Tarmac says it has taken the decision to close the site in view of the difficult trading conditions and in the light of a concerns by a number of local residents over the operation. 2009 elections

The North Yorkshire County Council elections were held on 4 June 2009.

A range of useful election information has been added to the website, including lists of polling stations with maps, past results from 2005, information about registering to vote, and lots more.
