The work on the by-pass is being carried out by the Highways Agency, and relates to the A63/A19 (Greencore) roundabout, the A1041/A19 junction, the A19/A63 junction, the A63/A1238 junction and in the vicinity of the bridges on the bypass.
Traffic management will be by temporary traffic signals, but a road closure will be required for part of the works. The work will be incorporated with planned maintenance works for the Bypass Swing Bridge on the River Ouse to minimise disruption to highway users.
A number of side road junctions will be affected by this programme of works and traffic will be diverted through the town when the road closure is in operation on Sunday 13 September and Sunday 20 September.
