The County Music Service provides instrumental and vocal tuition to pupils in local authority schools throughout North Yorkshire.

Children and young people can work on a part-time basis. However, there are restrictions depending on their age; on the number of hours they can work; and the type of employment.

The Learning, Youth and Skills Service Group supports numerous youth groups throughout the County. These groups aim to support young people as they move from their teenage years into adulthood by equipping them with the necessary social skills to enable them to make a worthwhile contribution to their local communities.
