Careers - children and young people's service
Thank you for taking an interest in opportunities within Children and Young People's Service at North Yorkshire County Council. We're proud of our achievements in delivering outcomes for children and the people we serve, yet continually seek new and innovative ways of shaping the future. What motivates us most is the challenge of maintaining success and growing more of it.
We don't make a song and dance about it but this has to be a place with the passion and drive to achieve by being good at strategy, strong on relationships, resourceful and purposeful in delivering at all levels. But this isn't easy. We serve a population of over half a million people widely dispersed across England's largest county that covers over 570 square miles. The people who are attracted to work with us are those who are excited by these challenges, share our values of trust, confidence, high standards and team work and those who are committed to making a tangible difference to children's lives.
This website sets out what we are about and what we believe. The challenge is exciting and demanding, and we hope that you will want to pursue your interest with us. North Yorkshire is a beautiful place to live and to work, and the Council is proud of the high calibre of its staff and services.
