Rail stationsNorth Yorkshire has 46 rail stations served by five train operators. We have high speed trains on the East Coast Main Line to London, Newcastle and Edinburgh and fantastic scenery on Settle - Carlisle, Skipton - Lancaster and the Esk Valley line. Full information is available on the community rail page. Bus stationsNorth Yorkshire has 10 bus stations. You will find various facilities at these stations but all include a central display providing timetable information and a bus station plan. The bus station manager will be responsible for providing and maintaining the information displays. Bus stopsThere are over 4,000 bus stops in North Yorkshire. The operator is generally responsible for the maintenance and the timetable insert held in each timetable case. Each bus stop flag must include the words "Bus Stop", the traveline logo and telephone number. The timetable insert must include a description of the services which use that stop, the scheduled departure time the traveline logo and the telephone number. The majority of bus shelters are glass and are etched with the North Yorkshire County Council logo. However there are some stone and wooden shelters which are not owned by North Yorkshire County Council.
