Richmond registration office
Throughout the world about 70 towns bear this name and here is the original of them all. A place of history, character, quality, nobility and beauty with a cobbled market place (the largest in England) which is still the site of weekly markets. Richmond is dominated by the historic Norman Castle and from the top of the tower there are fine views over the River Swale and the Vale of York. The town is surrounded by breathtaking countryside made famous by the author James Herriot and the film and TV adaptations of his books. Situated close to the centre of this historic market town, the office offers one ceremony room which can comfortably seat up to 30 guests. Some street car parking is available near the office. Photographs can be taken in the room or in the nearby gardens. There are music facilities to play CDs, and you are welcome to bring your own if we do not have what you want. Every assistance will be given to those who wish to bring their own video recorder. Disabled access is available through the library entrance to the building. 360 degree view of Richmond registration officeBelow you can see an interactive 360 degree image of Richmond registration office - Swaledale room.
