Patient transport
Patient transport services help non-emergency patients to and from their hospital and clinic appointments, if they are unable to arrange their own transport. They also help patients to get home after being discharged from hospital.
Your doctor; nurse; hospital consultant; dentist; or midwife can book the transport for you, should you need it. If you want to book the service yourself, full details can be found on the North Yorkshire and York Primary Care Trust website below. Patient transport services are provided for planned journeys only and not for emergency situations. If you need immediate ambulance attendance, dial 999. | | | | Related information from NHS Choices
