What are these services?

Safety

This section contains information on dangerous structures and public safety as well as licence requirements for various types of dangerous materials.
You must hold a licence issued by the trading standards service if your business sells certain non-medicinal poisons.

If you store or sell fireworks or other explosives you will need either (depending on the quantities involved) to register with us or obtain a licence from us.

Buildings may become gradually dangerous due to old age, deterioration or settlement, or by more dramatic causes such as storm, explosion, fire or impact by vehicles.

If you manufacture or store explosives you need either to register or apply for a licence, depending on the quantities of explosives involved.

The County Council is the petroleum licensing authority for North Yorkshire. If you store petroleum for commercial or retail purposes you must have a licence.
