Shared care for adults
Shared care offers short-term care to adults who are unable to live on their own without a full-time carer and the people who care for them. The care can vary in length from a few hours up to a maximum of two weeks at a time.
This type of care comes under North Yorkshire County Council's respite care service. For more information, see the respite care for adults page. Additional support from organisations in North YorkshireIn addition to the help and support we can provide, there are many organisations in North Yorkshire which support carers, including carers' centre and carers' resources. These are organisations whose purpose is to give practical and emotional support to carers. For more details, see the carers' centres in North Yorkshire page.
