Appeals

If we are unable to allocate a place at your preferred school or if you are not satisfied with the school place we have offered your child, you can appeal. We deal with admission appeals for places at community and voluntary-controlled schools, as well as independent selection reviews for selective schools.

For aided, trust, foundation schools and academies, the clerk of the governors' appeal panel should be contacted at the school, since the governors of these schools are responsible for arranging admission appeals. Appeals are a legal requirement under the current national admissions code, whilst selection reviews are an arrangement we have in selective areas.

Further detailed information on appeals is available here.
