How can I report a problem with surface dressing works?

We are happy to receive notification from members of the public about any surface dressing works that are causing concern.

You must provide the following details when reporting a problem with surface dressing works:

  • The exact location of the problem e.g. the road name and/or number
  • Any nearby identifiable landmarks
  • Your contact details

It would also be helpful if you could provide as much information as possible on the type of surface dressing works problem being reported. For example:

  • Works that are causing access difficulties
  • Failing new surface dressing
  • Lines not repainted (this is not completed until 14 days after the surfacing works are finished)
  • Lines re-painted incorrectly
  • Standing water
  • Missed patches
  • Surfacing works have covered over a utility grate
  • Surfacing works have covered over a gully grate
  • Surfacing works have altered the road level
