What are these services?

How much does it cost to approve a structure?

In order to maintain essential services North Yorkshire County Council must ensure that it recovers the true costs for works undertaken on behalf of third parties. We are therefore introducing a new rate for undertaking structures approval with effect from the 1 January 2012. The new rate is compliant with national legislation and is based on the principle of full cost recovery. Officer time spent assessing new structures proposed by developers will be charged at an hourly rate of £40.00 per hour. The applicant must pay a fee of £100.00 with the initial request and the balance must be settled with the request for signature of the Approval in Principle (AIP). An invoice will be raised on receipt of the initial request.
