Registrars

Out of hours (OOH) telephone number: 0845 872 5259

Our limited OOH service is available for customers who have an emergency connected to a ceremony or require a Muslim or Jewish faith burial within 24 hours.  Please note however that this service is only available Mon - Fri, 17:00 - 22:00 and 09:00 - 17:00 at weekends. If there is no immediate response to your call, please leave a message and a member of the Registration Team will contact you as soon as they can.

Trading standards

Our OOH service is available for customers wishing to report the following:

  • Illegal importation of animals;
  • An animal disease outbreak;
  • The licensing of pigs out of market;
  • Door step traders or a report of distraction burglary;
  • A petroleum Incident;
  • An incident regarding the safety of a sport ground.

Emergency services - police, ambulance, fire and rescue

Dial 999 emergency services if:

  • violence is being used or threatened;
  • there is danger to life;
  • a crime is in progress or offenders carrying out a crime have recently been disturbed;
  • there has been a road accident where people are injured, or there has been an accident that has affected traffic.
