All DBS applications must now be completed online. Only in exceptional circumstances will a paper application form be accepted. For a paper application to be accepted it must have been issued by our recruitment and selection service. Stage one - applicants to complete - apply for a DBS check

To complete the online DBS application form you can view DBS information for candidates, employees and applicants and apply online here.  It is important that you  read the guidance notes [470kb] [pdf] which are specific to transport operators. Once the DBS check is completed you will receive notification of your DBS certificate result via your employer.  It should take a maximum of four weeks to complete the process and issue one of our DBS badges to your employer, where appropriate.

Stage two - applicants to complete - apply for our DBS badge

In addition to the DBS check, drivers and passenger assistants are required to carry one of our DBS badges whilst on transport contracts. In order to obtain this badge, you will need to  complete a vetting procedures consent form [32kb] [pdf] which needs to be printed, completed and submitted via your verifier, who will check it alongside your evidence of identity, to our integrated passenger transport team (contact details are below).  Failure to supply a signed vetting procedures consent form and photograph will delay the DBS process.

Stage three - contractor or verifier to complete - verifying information

Drivers and passenger assistants are required to carry one of our badges.  You must ensure that the applicant has completed a  vetting procedures consent form [32kb] [pdf] and that this is posted to our integrated passenger transport team (contact details below) along with one passport style photograph of the individual with their full name and date of birth on the reverse. 

Confirmation of the DBS certificate decision for the applicant, together with our DBS badge (where appropriate), will be sent to you within four weeks of application.  Failure to ensure that a signed vetting procedures consent form and photograph are supplied to our integrated passenger transport team will delay the DBS process.
