Stillbirth - registeringWe understand that experiencing a stillbirth will make you feel overwhelming grief and shock. There may be bereavement counsellors in the hospital to give you help and guidance through this difficult time. There are also some decisions you have to make and some things that you have to do, for example you must register your baby's stillbirth.
Registration will be arranged on an individual basis with the utmost regard being paid to parents care and wellbeing. Advice on registration may be sought through hospital staff or direct from the local registration office. If you are married to each other, only one parent needs to register the stillbirth. Otherwise, if the father's details are to be entered, both parents will need to register. Please contact us for any further advice.
