North Yorkshire County Council administers a number of educational grants to help learners at all stages of their education.

These include:

• financial assistance towards school clothing
• home-to-school travel support
• free school meals
• financial support and assistance with travel costs for students in post-16 education at further education colleges.

If you cannot find the information you are looking for about financial help regarding children under the age of 16 years, please get in touch with the Education Office.

Payment for musical instruments

Please note that in order to make use of our online payment facility below, which is for pupils having instrumental lessons in school from a County Music Service teacher, you must have completed an Assisted Purchase Scheme application and had this accepted by the County Music Service.

	Pay for your musical instrument or instrumental lessons If you have already ordered an instrument you can make payment of £15 here. You should disregard the delivery address option as delivery will be to your childs school.
