If you are entering higher education and studying a full-time course you can apply for student support. The system of student support is applicable to all students from England and Wales and the regulations governing it are set by central government.

The student finance application arrangements for the 2010/11 academic year will be different in some Local Authority areas throughout the UK. Applications from North Yorkshire students will be dealt with entirely by Student Finance England. Your entitlement to support will be unaffected by this change.

If you are returning to study in 2010/11, an application form will be sent to you in the normal manner. Once completed, your application must be returned to Student Finance England.

If you are starting a new course in the 2010/11 academic year, and you are currently in Year 13 at school or attending a college of further education, please contact Student Finance England via their Customer Service Line on 0845 300 50 90. Application forms can also be completed online.
