Childcare![]() North Yorkshire County Council has its own Families Information Service. This service provides free impartial information, advice and support to parents and carers of children from birth to 19 years of age, including parents with children who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The service also provides information, advice and training to potential and existing childcare providers, both childminders and daycare providers alike.
More information for parents/carers on childcare provision and related services is available from the North Yorkshire Families Information Service. We cannot endorse or recommend individual childcare types or providers. However by providing you with comprehensive information on childcare provision available in the area you requested, along with leaflets/other information on choosing childcare, we will enable you to make an informed decision on the most suitable childcare for you and your child. You can use the online map facility to search for childcare, please note that not all childcare providers choose to publicise their service on the internet. A full list of childcare provision can be obtained by contacting the Families information service.
