Family LearningWe are committed to offering you and your family the chance to support your children on a variety of programmes which are informal, practical and friendly. Our most popular programmes are linked to the learning that children do in school. They will be of interest to you if you want to know more about how to help and support your children's learning, particularly in literacy and numeracy. During most family programmes you are able to learn about how they learn, while supporting your child by working alongside them. You are also given the opportunity to develop your own skills through a wide range of learning experiences, including being able to work towards qualifications in English and maths on our longer programmes. Most of our programmes are free of charge and some have free childcare provision. They take place in local community venues such as schools, children's centres, community centres and adult education centres. Anyone with responsibility for a child is welcome to attend family learning courses, mums, dads, grandparents or carers, anyone with major caring responsibilities for a child.
