You will also find information about where to go for advice on employment and training or to find out what opportunities are available for young people in your part of North Yorkshire. Information about financial assistance can be found under Grants Need help after results day?If you are unsure about your future career or want to change your plans after your GCSE or A level results, the County Council's Connexions Service, which offers education and careers advice as well as information about job opportunities, is bringing in additional guidance staff for support at events for young people across the County in the integrated youth support hubs. Connexions careers advisers will be on hand to help on a range of issues including apprenticeship applications, writing CVs, interview techniques, college course details and job vacancies. The events will give young people and their parents the chance to talk through possibilities and opportunities if they want to change plans following their results or have nothing organised post-September. Connexions also has an information website, Get Connected Now, which offers support to young people and their parents or carers and employers as well as information about jobs, education and training vacancies. There are questions and answers about what to do at this important time, on the home page and a self help tool called "ON TARGET". There is also a list of events in each area. Young people and their parents are also welcome to contact Connexions advisers at any time during working hours if they want to chat through any ideas they may have.
