What are these services?

Youth support

North Yorkshire County Council, through its children and young people's service, plays a major role in the many varied educational and recreational opportunities for young people in the county.

In this section you can find:

  • Advice and guidance for young people;
  • How to get involved in decision making; and
  • Activities for young people, including the Duke of Edinburgh Award and volunteer projects.

You will also find information about where to go for advice on employment and training or to find out what opportunities are available for young people in your part of North Yorkshire.

Information about financial assistance can be found under grants.

If you are unsure about your future career or want to change your plans after your GCSE or A level results, the County Council's youth support service may be able to offer advice about education and careers as well as information about job opportunities. Contact details for the youth support hubs can be found below.
