Bullying and harassment policy

North Yorkshire Children and Young People's Service is fully committed to reducing bullying in our schools and settings and to ensuring that children, young people and families are supported effectively whenever this does, unfortunately, occur. We advise schools and settings on anti-bullying policies and strategies and encourage partnership working between young people, parents/carers, schools and local communities to create anti-bullying cultures and to resolve any incidents of bullying.

Bullying and harassment policy (image posed by models) This aim of this section is to provide access to a wide range of information and support available to parents/carers and young people. Direct links are provided to the main national "anti-bullying" websites where you can find a whole range of advice and support and to key national and North Yorkshire Local Authority documents.

There is also a helpline number below for parents and carers to ring for direct information, advice or support.

(Please note: the photographs in this website were taken with the consent of the children involved in a staged environment - this is not a real bullying incident)
