Youth Mentors work with children in a one-to-one relationship or with small groups in a school environment. They carry a caseload of children and young people with complex needs and work alongside professionals from other agencies with the aim of promoting the educational progress and achievement of young people in the Local Authority's care. This might also involve the co-ordination of alternative educational provision.
