Household waste recycling centresThe County Council provides 20 household waste recycling centres (HWRCs), reusing, recycling and composting more than 60 per cent of all waste delivered to sites. They may also be known as the tip, dump or civic amenity site.

Mobile household waste recycling centresNorth Yorkshire County Council also operates mobile household waste recycling sites to provide recycling/disposal facilities in areas of the County where the population catchment is not adequately covered by existing permanent household waste recycling centres.
