Household waste - disposal sites

The County Council provides 19 household waste - disposal sites which are also known as household waste recycling centres. These are located close to major centres of population within the County. They may also be known as the tip, dump, civic amenity site, household waste site.

Household waste recycling centre

The name Household waste recycling centre reflects the major focus of the centres, all of which are recycling more than half of the waste delivered to them. As the amount and range of materials recycled increases, household waste recycling centres will play a major part in the development of improved recycling services.
