Health and medical advice

Staying healthy and active is important for everyone. This section provides health information, medical advice and links to support services; with an emphasis on issues for people making use of social care services.

If you need medical advice or support, you should visit your local doctor or GP who will be able to help you and refer you to other health services if necessary. You can find your local doctor or GP using the NHS - find and choose services website.

Public health services

Patient transport

Patient transport services help non-emergency patients to and from their hospital and clinic appointments, if they are unable to arrange their own transport. They also help patients to get home after being discharged from hospital. See the patient transport page for more details.
