Support for children with HIV
Our children and young people's service works to protect and support children affected by HIV and AIDS by enabling them and their families to retain their independence and to take responsibility for decisions that affect their lives.
The children and young people's service works alongside social care services and other agencies, such as health and education to ensure that children with HIV and their families receive the best support to live their lives as they would choose. We are committed to improving all our services to meet the changing social and community care needs of those affected by HIV and other sexually transmitted viruses such as hepatitis. ConfidentialityAny information you provide to us is treated with total confidence. We will not pass on any information without your consent, unless we have a statutory duty to do so in order to protect you; prevent harm to someone else; or prevent or detect a crime. | | | | Related information from NHS Choices
