The organisations include WRVS (formally the Women's Royal Voluntary Service) in most of the County; Age UK in parts of Craven; and the Sherburn Visiting Service in Sherburn and the surrounding area.
The County Council's role is now only to signpost people in the direction of meals providers. People are able to discuss directly with providers the type of meal and the number of meals per week they require. Payment is directly agreed with the meal providers.
