The County Council maintains approximately 8000 kilometres of footways (pavements) along side the road network. These footways are provided to allow the residents, and visitors to North Yorkshire, to walk safely through our county.

Obstructions come in many shapes and forms. Some can be seen as beneficial to some but disadvantageous to others. It is the responsibility of all of us to ensure that the streets around us remain safe and uncluttered, whilst retaining the unique character of North Yorkshire.
