What are these services?

I offer credit for sales from my showroom but I am starting to visit my customers at home. Can I still offer credit to them?

Yes, but different rules apply to agreements made off trade premises. When a customer signs a credit agreement at home he has five days in which to change his mind and cancel the contract without penalty. The paperwork you need to give to your customers will therefore be different. You will also need to vary your credit licence to allow you to conduct business away from trade premises. The trading standards advice team can give you more advice about this and can supply an application form for you to send to the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to vary the terms of your credit licence. Alternatively please see the web link below.
