What are these services?

Can young people keep in touch with family and friends while staying in a children's residential unit?

Contact with family and friends (where appropriate) is very important and every effort will be made to facilitate and promote this. Arrangements for contact visits are written into care plans and are regularly reviewed to ensure they are appropriate for the young person.

There are some young people who may not be able to have contact with certain relatives and friends; this is when there is a possibility that they may be hurt or where the courts have stated that contact is not allowed.
