County record office

Full contact details for the County Record Office, including opening hours, can be found below.

All visits to the County Record Office are by appointment. Bookings can be made by telephone, e-mail, fax, post or in person.

The County Record Office is in Malpas Road, Northallerton. It is a few minutes' walk from the railway station and the town centre. There is a small car park at the front of the building with further parking at the rear. Ask staff for directions when making an appointment.

 Friday 9am - 4.15pm
 Saturday 9.30am - 4.15pm on the first Saturday of most months. Please check in advance.
 Sunday Closed

The office will usually remain open over lunchtime, but it may occasionally be necessary to close between 1pm and 2pm. Please check before you visit. On Saturdays, all our usual microfilm records and searchroom facilities will be available, but original items must be ordered in advance.
