Finding the library, parking and access

The library is situated at the Broadway, Colburn, at the shopping precinct on the road out of Catterick Garrison going towards Catterick Bridge. Colburn is served by bus service number 26 and there is a bus stop a short distance from the library.

There is a large car park at the Broadway with spaces for disabled users and mother and toddler bays. Parking is free. The main doors to the building are automatic and all areas are accessible to wheelchairs.

Colburn Crazy Creators group
The Colburn Crazy Creators group runs monthly in conjunction with Connecting Youth Culture, for children aged 11 to 15 years. Please contact the library for details.

Reading club
The Chatterbooks reading club meets monthly in the library. It is a reading club for children in year five, run in conjunction with Colburn Primary School. Please contact the library for details.

Shared services - Richmondshire District Council

In addition to the usual library services, you can also access some services provided by Richmondshire District Council at the library. These are as follows:

Staff are able to deal with any enquiry or give advice for any services offered by the district council, including benefit applications, housing applications, council tax enquiry, refuse and recycling enquiries;
Staff can take payment for rent, council tax, non-domestic rates, garage rent, sundry debtor invoices, car parking fines, lifeline, licensing fees, planning fees and excess refuse charges;
You can also buy parking permits for the car parks in the district; and
A benefits surgery is held every Friday between 2pm and 4pm.
