An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a part time Business Support Officer to support the Children & Families Service based at Castle House, Scarborough. We are supporting a hybrid approach to office and home working.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the NYC Children and Families Service in providing high quality, professional support to the Operational Managers and Social Workers in the Family Assessment Support Team.

 

This is a varied and rewarding role and you must be able to prioritise demanding workloads and work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines.

                                                                                                                                       

The role

 

You will support the Family Assessment Support Team with tasks such as, providing admin support to social workers and team managers, dealing with new referrals, uploading documents, organising meetings (usually on Microsoft Teams), sending documents to the relevant parties within agreed timescales and minute taking in various types of meetings.

 

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to observe a high level of confidentiality and comply with GDPR at all times.

 

The hours of operation are Monday - Thursday 8:30am to 5pm & Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. The role is 18.5 hours per week, days and hours are to be agreed with the successful candidate so there is a degree of flexibility.

What you will bring

 

We are looking for an experienced administrator who is looking to learn and grow their knowledge within an officer role. Great communication skills, both written and verbal, is vital as this is very much customer focused based. You will also have a good knowledge of data input and be competent in Microsoft packages such as Word. As you will be working to strict legislative deadlines, it is important you are highly organised. We welcome all applicants who have experience in administration, and full training will be provided.

 

Experience in minute taking is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided.

You must respect the need for confidentiality of personal information and have knowledge of Data Protection (GDPR), Equalities and Health and Safety requirements of working within an office environment.
