Leisure and culture

North Yorkshire County Council encourages residents and visitors to explore the heritage of the county, its libraries, museums, arts venues, historic attractions and superb landscape.

Council services are designed to improve the quality of life of everyone who lives, works or is being educated in the county, whether children or adults. By supporting literature and the arts the Council aims to promote citizenship and life-long learning.
