Finding the library, parking and access
The library is located on Eastfield High Street just below the main shopping centre at the bottom of the pedestrian area. Eastfield Community Centre is directly opposite the main entrance. The nearest bus stop is for routes 7 and 17, which serve the nearby shopping area.
There is no dedicated car parking, but on-street parking is available adjacent to the library and there are no restrictions in force. The library has automatic doors and all areas are accessible to wheelchairs.
Items available from the library
You can borrow a range of books for all ages in a variety of formats, including large print and audio. Music CDs, DVDs and foreign language titles are also available for loan, as well as micro:bits. You can request any item that is not immediately available.

Activities at the library
For further information about any of the activities below, please contact the library. More Than Books is a Wellbeing Hub and holds various events throughout the year.
Adult learning support services
We hold regular courses and workshops with Adult Learning Support Services including ICT, creative writing and maths and English.
Board games club
The Board Games Club meets every Wednesday from 10am to 12 noon.
Craft sessions for adults
There are a variety of regular craft workshops and activities running throughout the year.
Craft sessions for children
We run regular craft sessions and special events during school holidays.
Homework club
The Homework Club for five to 11 year olds meets every Monday during term-time from 4.30pm to 5.55pm.
Knitting circle
The Knitting Circle meets every Thursday from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Reading group
The Book Lovers reading group meets every first Monday of the month from 2pm to 3pm.
Story and rhyme times
There are story and rhyme time sessions for the under fives every Tuesday during term-time from 10.30am to 11.15am.
