Garden chemicals can be accepted, free of charge, at all of our household waste recycling centres.
The following are examples of garden chemicals that can be disposed of in the waste for energy recovery container:
- fertilisers;
- fungicides;
- herbicides;
- insecticides;
- pesticides; or
- weedkillers.
If you have no use for these items, please pass them on to someone who can use them.
Tins, bottles and sprays must be firmly secured to prevent leakage.
If you have a mercury thermometer to dispose of please ask site staff for assistance as these items are stored separately on site. Mercury thermometers need to be placed in a secure plastic container before being accepted.
Garden chemicals from a business or charity must be disposed of through a private licensed contractor.
