North Yorkshire Views is one of the ways you can share ideas to help us understand local people’s priorities and influence decisions.
Sign up to North Yorkshire Views before 1 March and you could be in with a chance of winning a family pass for Yorkshire’s Great Houses, Castles and Gardens, which includes entry to Castle Howard, Newby Hall, Fountains Abbey and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The pass will run until 31 December 2020.
North Yorkshire Views is an online engagement community where members are invited to take part in at least four surveys a year. Members may also be offered the opportunity to take part in polls, focus groups, workshops and user testing exercises. The community will be one of the most important ways by which we consult with residents to help shape our services. Members must be 18 or over and live in North Yorkshire.
Surveys will cover a wide variety of topics, including views on life in North Yorkshire as well as different strategies and services delivered by the council. In addition community members may also be made aware of other engagement and consultation activity.
Marie-Ann Jackson, head of stronger communities, said: “Having the views and involvement of our residents is vitally important for the stronger communities programme. Not only does it help us ensure that our investment priorities are informed by strong evidence, having a residents panel that we can contact really helps us understand whether our projects are having a positive impact. By tracking differences in how people feel about their community, what is important to them and understanding how involved they are allows us to build up the evidence about what works and helps protect valued community assets and services.”
