About independent travel training
Travel training is when a person learns to travel between two places, on their own and in a safe way.
The journey can be going to the local shops or making your own way to school or college.

Travel training workshops and courses in North Yorkshire
North Yorkshire County Council run an independent travel training core skills workshop. This workshop teaches skills to those young people who may not be able to access the full travel training programme. It is classroom-based and does not include travelling outside. This course is for people who have never travelled independently.
This course is two hours long and must be requested by your school or college.
