Inspiration for change works with parents who have had a children taken permanently into care, which we know, can be a difficult time.
What is Inspiration for change
We provide 1-1 support which is about you and your needs, this is about making time for you. We hope that we can help you to make some changes so that if you decide to have more children in the future you may not have to go through care proceedings again.
You would be given your own dedicated worker who will be there to listen, help you to think about what you want for your future and support you to get there. For us to be able to focus on your needs we can only work with parents when they aren’t pregnant or expecting a baby.
We can offer some support to parents who are going through care proceedings through our group ‘Time for You’, this is open to all parents who no longer have care of their children due to proceedings. The group is a drop in, it is a safe place to have a cuppa or just listen to the chat. The group is currently online due to Covid restrictions.

If you are working with any services they can refer you to our team, we can also meet all together to start with if that helps you to feel more comfortable.
