Become a Tech-Maker this half term at North Craven libraries

Virtual reality headsets and robotic Lego are among the creative activities on offer at Bentham, Ingleton and Settle community libraries.

Free Tech-Makers drop-in sessions are being held over half term on the following dates:

  • Settle community library, Monday 28 October, 10.30am to 12.30pm
  • Ingleton community library, Wednesday 30 October, 10.30am to 12.30pm
  • Bentham community library, Thursday 31 October, 10.30am to 12.30pm

Visitors can use a range of creative tech kit, including Oculus Go virtual reality headsets and small programmable computers, including Makey Makeys, Raspberry Pi and Micro:bits.

North Yorkshire County Councillor Greg White, Executive Member for Libraries, said: “I would urge young people looking for things to do this half term to come along to one of these digital taster events. It is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in putting together technical creations and exploring ideas for creative design.”

These are drop-in sessions so there is no need to book a place. For more information, contact your local library.
