People attending the workshop will draw cartoons and caricatures and have a chance to work on face shapes, funny self-portraits with mirrors and sketching techniques. The workshop will involve some manga – Japanese comic book style – work.

The cartooning workshop will take place on Tuesday, 27 February, from 10.30am to noon, and is suitable for children aged eight and over and adults. No art experience is necessary. Spaces are limited and booking is required. Call the library on 01609 533832 to book.

The workshop is free, but a donation to the library to cover the cost of material would be welcome.

Wendi New is also running a weekly Scribble Zone art session for children age 11 to 16 years. This session takes place at Northallerton library on Monday from 4pm to 5.30pm.
