Essential road resurfacing to begin in Great Broughton

Essential resurfacing is to be carried out on the road through Great Broughton High Street.

Great Broughtton high street

Our highways team is scheduled to begin the work on Monday, 20 January. This will require closing the road from the 30mph speed limit sign, south of the junction with Back Lane, to the junction with Howe Hill.

The work will be carried out over five working days from 7.30am to 5.30pm and diversion signs will be in place.

County Councillor Heather Moorhouse, Member for Great Ayton, said: “During these essential works there will inevitably be restrictions on vehicles accessing properties on the route, but our contractors will help wherever possible. Unfortunately, due to the location of this road closure the diversion will be extensive.

“We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any disruption that these works may cause and would request your cooperation to help ensure the work can be completed efficiently and safely.”
