Essential maintenance is due to start on Monday, 4 March, on the Grade II listed Pickering Bridge.
The work is expected to take two weeks. During the work, access for vehicles will be maintained through two-way temporary traffic signals. Pedestrian access will still be available, but the downstream footpath will be closed to accommodate the works.
North Yorkshire County Councillor Don Mackenzie, executive member for highways, said: “This is essential work, but we appreciate it will cause disruption. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank people for their patience.”
